About
Hi! I'm Alex Meyers, a current PhD student in the Cox lab at the University of Virginia.
I am passionate about integrative methods to understand complex questions in evolutionary ecology. In addition to research, I value science outreach and communication. At UVA, I serve as Media Chair for our Graduate Student and Postdoc Association. I hope to incorporate citizen science, public outreach, and interdisciplinary collaborations in my current and future work!

I'm a current PhD student in the Cox lab at UVA! I study sexual selection and sexual conflict in reptiles and amphibians. I also teach introductory biology labs.
In 2023, I studied abroad in tropical North Queensland, AUS with the School for Field Studies, and contributed to ongoing research in marsupial conservation.
I got my B.S. at Davidson College, where I earned High Honors in Biology with my thesis "Automated Quantification of Parental Behaviors to Uncover Differences in Two Estrildid Finch Species," under Dr. Nicole Baran.
